The Mariners

This waterfront gastropub is a recent addition to the Paul Ainsworth family and is just steps away from your Mariners Lettings cottage. a Offering heated outdoor seating you can enjoy the scenic views and fresh sea air of the Rock Estuary whilst enjoying the locally brewed Sharp’s beers. We recommend visiting in the evening to share a romantic sunset over the water whilst enjoying some of the locally-renowned Porthilly oysters or one of the fantastic pub classics from the main menu. A welcoming cosy yet vibrant atmosphere makes The Mariners the perfect place to impress someone and still have a good time amongst the locals of Rock.

The Dining Room

This family-run restaurant offers the perfect blend of fine dining and an uncompromising yet cosy atmosphere. Head chef Fred Beedles prides his kitchen on making everything by hand and serving up only the best food. The regularly changing two and three course menus features a choice of dishes created with care and complimented by tantalisingly tasty amuse bouches and petit fours. Fred’s partner Donna Caswell and her team provide an intimate service to fully complete a romantic evening.

St Petroc’s Bistro

Fancy a night out for three in Padstow? This Rick Stein owned restaurant offers a relaxed snug room that’s perfect for couples who want to enjoy their evening with their dog. Enjoy delicious Cornish steaks and meats straight from the grill or sample one of Rick Stein’s classic Mediterranean dishes. Why not make an evening of it and take the ferry from Rock harbour to Padstow? Enjoying the sea breeze followed by a romantic walk next to the harbour lights, before warming up with a delicious meal next to a cosy fireplace.

Barnaby’s

Sister to the popular seafood restaurant Prawn on the Lawn, Barnaby’s is located in a former Victorian tea room in Padstow and offers a regularly changing menu of locally sourced and seasonal produce. This small, snug restaurant places diners within view of the kitchen, allowing an intimate journey from wood-fired oven to plate. A tapas style system of ordering a mix of small and large plates allows for the anticipation and excitement of trying a mix of exciting and bold flavours. Barnaby’s is the perfect secret escape to watch the world go by together.

Fee’s Food

Not feeling a night out? Order in from Fee’s Food where the tempting selection of ready meals features world classics including Cornish Fish pie, Beef bourguignon, Moroccan Chickpea tagine and Thai green curry. Handcooked in Fee’s kitchen using the finest produce, these meals offer the ultimate in quality and convenience. Enjoy on the terrace of your holiday cottage and watch the sunset with a glass or two of a local wine – we love locally made sparkling Camel Valley Brut (Cornwall’s answer to champagne – and every bit as good!) and finish your meal with one of Fee’s delicious cakes or puddings – her brownies are the stuff of legend.
